When Creativity Strikes

I am on a creative streak right now.

I'm knitting stuff like crazy.

I've even ventured in to Bullet Journaling which I've taken to quite naturally given my propensity to organize, containerize, and systematize all things in my life - as well as my love for notebooks and pretty fonts.

As anyone who lives a creative life can attest, there are just some days that the energy flows and you're making something left and right.  These days can get pretty overwhelming, wanting to make something - anything - everything. On days like this, I tell myself to do one thing at a time - breaking each project into little chunks so that I can actually "touch" each project for a portion of the day.  I am certainly not complaining about this overflowing season. I've been in a drought for a while.

Washcloth-of-the-Month at Hooked

I have a new class forming at Hooked. I just love making washcloths! They're easy, quick, and very practical.  They make lovely gifts and are a perfect way to try out new stitches.  And when you use good quality cotton or linen, they are simply a joy to make and use.

Here are the details:

6 sessions - $20/session
Sundays - June 26, July 24, August 28, September 25, October 30, November 20; 1:30 to 3:00 pm.

Join the washcloth revolution. These easy and quick handcrafted items are great to use around the house, and make thoughtful gifts - heirlooms even.  Practice your knit and purl stitches, lace, and even cables, with a new pattern every month.  Attend all six sessions or drop-in.  The month's pattern will be announced at the beginning of the month.

Materials:  Your choice of cotton or linen yarn (approximately 100 yards for 1 washcloth); knitting needles to make gauge; pattern

This class is for knitters with novice to intermediate skill.
