Super Hump Day

It's a Wednesday, and it is right smack in the middle of the year.  July 1, 2015.   How did we get here so quickly?

My writing friend (and cosmic twin), Lisen Minetti, touched on how far she's gotten through her Writing Resolution list.  This got me thinking about mine, so I dropped by my first post of the year, in which I presented my guiding principles in quotes.  I am happy to say, it looks like I am moving along the right path.

On writing.
I now recognize the strength of my voice and ability to convey story.  My confidence is wavering slightly right now, but once I get back into motion and build momentum, I believe I will finish the first draft of my WIP by the end of the year.

On approaching new endeavors.
I have taken some large steps in trying new things. After completing my certification course, I started my knitting instruction business. This takes quite a lot of my time and energy; quite possibly drawing my stores reserved for writing.  I am however enjoying teaching this skill and art that I love to others who I hope will love it just as much.  Plus, I am meeting so many lovely people along the way.

On my family.
There have been a few times (some good, some not so good) during the first half of the year, when I have had to drop everything at a moments notice for my family.  For any of those times, I regret nothing.  They truly are my everything. God has shown me that with out them, nothing else matters.

As for the second half of the year,  I am hoping for a little bit of balance across all the sections of my life, but we'll see how that goes. It's certainly going to be busy: there will be some life changes (a freshman in high school and a new middle schooler), some travel (high school reunion), some family time, and hopefully, lots of good memories created.

Now, onward!

    1. Thanks, Jenn! It wasn't until I sat down and to do this reflection that I realized that I was in good shape.

Thank you so much for your kind comments.
