I'm at a point right now where I'm thirsting for a good book to read.  During my 40 x 40 challenge, I read some pretty great books, but only one or two of them drew me in so deeply that I couldn't stop reading until the wee hours of the morning.

Right now, I'm yearning for that compulsion again.  I'm looking for a book that will hook me and not let me go until I get to the last page.  Something that will give me a reading hangover (thank you Jennifer R. Hubbard for coining that term), lingering for days, wanting to talk to someone about it.  Maybe even read some fan fiction about it afterwards.  (Erm... no judgments please. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.)

The last series that did this for me was The Hunger Games trilogy last year.  It's about time for the next book to take me over again.

Tell me what books you've read recently that have done this for you. I'm taking recommendations.  Feed my need.

  1. Depends if you want funny or serious, older or younger, fiction or nonfiction. Then I stand ready with recommendations. :-)

  2. Let me think about this. . . I'll get back to you.

Thank you so much for your kind comments.
