In the past, I used to create and write daily prompts for an online writing community. Unfortunately, I had to step away from that to concentrate on my writing.
However, I can't seem to stop myself from finding blurbs or pictures that I find inspiring. I think some of you might enjoy them too. So, I've decided to put up a writing prompt every Sunday.
The prompts are yours to draw inspiration from. If you use it, and decide to post the resulting piece on your blog, or other online forum that hosts your writing, let me know in the comments section. I'll be sure to drop by and share my thoughts on how you used it.
Without further ado, the first ever Author-In-Training Sunday Writing Prompt is...
This is a picture of the interior of the Abbey Library of Saint Gallen in Switzerland. I found this picture on the blog of debut author (and fellow Filipina), Samantha Sotto. Her first novel, Before Ever After: A Novel, published by The Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House, is ready for pre-order in hardcover and for your Kindle. I have always harbored the belief that dead authors' spirits sometimes visit the shelves where their books find their homes. The blurred people in this photograph look like ghosts to me. I seem to have an affinity for restless spirits lately.
